The Postnuptial agreement (“postnup” for short) has been out there for more than a decade. This is a state of the art product of a legal system in Indonesia. Postnup is a marital agreement signed by husband and wife during the course of marriage. The intention of signing a postnup is to create property separation after the marriage. This usually suitable for couples without a prenup and need it to settle some financial issues such as property ownership.

Postnup may not as popular as the prenup. But it’s a “no” answer to the limbo situation where people get back-dated prenup. Just like I said, signing a back-dated prenup is a silly thing to do. Dissolving your marriage just because you did not have a prenup, is even as ridiculous as getting a back-dated one. We now have the postnup, for crying out loud! It’s legal. It’s pretty straight forward. It’s the solution you’ve been waiting for.

You can even use the postnup when you’re applying for the mortgage to the bank. You will know that it’s legally recognized when they said you can get a loan from them. So, this is total legal solution for your property ownership situation when you did not sign any prenup. All you have to do is to tell the truth behind the fact why you didn’t have any prenup back then. The whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Feels good, huh?

You will see your postnup mentions about your marriage details such as date of your marriage, and other marriage registration credentials. You know what the best part is? The date we use on the postnup is the date when you sign the contract. The actual one. You better see for yourself.
